M3 refers to the diameter of the bolts shank. M3 meaning 3mm. All our bolts are a metric coarse thread, the M3 range have a 0.6 pitch thread profile. All bolts fit the nuts within our range simply match the diameters. M3 hex bolts require a spanner size of 5.5mm
