This high-performance bonded anchor is engineered for general-purpose applications in the high-load capacity range, offering an ideal solution where mechanical anchors cannot reach the required load, this chemical anchoring has the capability of reaching tension loads north of 2.5T.
Tested and certified to EAD 330499-01-0601, AS5216:2018, and ETA-approved standards, Rawlplug Polyester Chemical Anchors are fully compliant with the National Construction Code (NCC). They are safe for operators, VOC-free, environmentally friendly, and offer a working life of up to 100 years when used correctly.
Designed for use in non-cracked concrete (C20/25 to C50/60) and suitable for natural stone (following on-site testing), this 2-part chemical anchor is supplied in 300ml and 400ml coaxial cartridges with patented self-opening nozzles for clean and precise resin delivery. 300ml can be dispensed using a standard manual silicone gun or electric applicator, 400ml will require a universal chemical anchor applicator gun.
*Disclaimer: Ramset "Universal" 400ml Applicator Gun, fits only Ramset cartridges due to the centre plunger being undersized on Ramset branded cartridges versus the global standard.

Installation Guide - Rawlplug Chemical Anchoring Polyester
Step 1: Drill the Hole
Using the correct bit size, drill a hole to the required diameter and depth specified for the rebar or threaded rod you are installing.
Step 2: Clean the Hole Thoroughly
Proper hole cleaning is essential for bond strength:
- Use a hole-cleaning brush to scrub the sides of the hole at least four times.
- Follow with a hand pump to blow out dust and debris at least four times.
This step is critical to ensure maximum adhesion of the resin to the substrate.
Step 3: Prepare the Cartridge
- Insert the epoxy cartridge into a suitable manual or pneumatic dispensing gun.
- Attach the mixing nozzle firmly to the cartridge.
Step 4: Prime the Nozzle
- Begin dispensing and discard the first 10-15cm of resin until a uniform colour is achieved, indicating the resin and hardener are properly mixed.
Step 5: Inject the Resin
- Insert the mixing nozzle to the bottom of the drilled hole.
- Slowly inject the resin while withdrawing the nozzle, filling approximately 70% of the hole's depth to avoid overflow.
Step 6: Insert the Rebar
- Immediately insert the rebar or threaded rod into the hole with a slow, twisting motion to ensure even distribution of resin around the steel.
- Remove any excess resin at the surface before it begins to cure.
- Allow the anchor to set undisturbed for the full curing time, based on the ambient temperature and product specifications printed on the back of the cartridge.
Installation is now complete-your rebar is chemically bonded and ready for structural loading once fully cured.
