M20 nyloc nuts feature a nylon insert that locks the nut in place on the bolt thread, providing a secure, vibration resistant fastening. The nylon section deforms over the bolt threads during tightening, creating friction that prevents loosening under vibration or movement. Nyloc nuts are often used in machinery, automotive, and structural applications where maintaining a tight connection is critical. They are available in a full range of metric sizes and finishes including Bright Zinc Plate for inddor use, Galvanised and 304 Stainless Steel for use outdoors, and marine grade 316 Stainless Steel suitable for exposed conditions, or use around salt water. A nylon insert lock nut should not be used more than once, when the locking nut has been used, the nylon portion will be fully deformed and we cannot guarantee the structural stability for any future uses. For any applications where excessive vibration is likely to occur, particularly automotive applications, couple a lock nut with a spring washer or a nylon thread patch for increased vibration resistance and improved thread locking ability.M20 Nyloc Nuts Features:
