our shipping options ...

 
Regular shipping :   this is our standard delivery method and is based on total load weight, please note the maximum weight we can ship in one consignment is 20kg, therefore all orders over 20kg will be shipped in seperate consignments and will have multiple tracking numbers. All our products have weight details included to let you easily total your order.

Bulk freight quoting :
   if your order is more than 50kg in weight then we would be happy to get a bulk freight quote for you which may be more cost effective than using multiple regular shipping orders, simply drop us an email request and we'll get back to you asap.

who deals with our shipping …

We have a strategic partnership with Australia Post to exclusively handle all our regular shipping consignments as they are simply the biggest carrier in Australia with 100% coverage to residential addresses. This partnership also gives us the ability to offer live pricing and delivery time estimating direct from our website with a real time shipping calculator, most orders are shipped from us on the next working day of order receipt (excluding public holidays) and you will receive an email notification from us when your shipment has left us.

In line with most professional ecommerce shippers we use Australia Post's eparcel service, this offers us full barcode tracking facilities per parcel along with optional transit insurance cover (on request). eParcel deliveries are all electronically recorded and require a customer signature on delivery, if you are out during delivery a notification card will be left and your parcel will be taken to your nearest Post office where you can collect it at your convenience.

As a general guideline the following delivery schedules are typical once you have received a shipping notification from us:

  • QLD metro : next day
  • QLD rural : 1-3 days
  • NSW metro : 1-2 days
  • NSW rural : 2-3 days
  • VIC metro : 2-3 days
  • VIC rural : 3-4 days
  • NT, WA, SA : 3-5 days

If your order has not been received within a reasonable timeframe it's possible your notifying card has been misplaced and your goods are likely to have been returned to your nearest Post Office for collection. You can either contact your office direct to confirm or let us know and we'll be happy to carry out an instant tracking trace. Please note eparcel tracking numbers are not the same as standard consignment numbers and so we don't issue them to customers for self-tracking as they cannot be used without an Australia Post account.

so how does it work …

Although easy to operate our shipping system is very complex behind the scenes, every product at Scrooz is weighed and measured (including packaging) and we have every postcode in Australia logged in our servers. As you are shopping, our software automatically adds your weight totals and calculates your cost based on your postcode, this means all our products are sold at the same price to everyone no matter where you live, the only difference is the shipping cost. We also added a calculator to the cart so you can see your cost right away before you go into the checkout rather than adding it right at the end of your session as most stores do.

Getting a cost is very simple, ok so you've added some items to your cart and clicked view cart to bring up the main cart panel on your screen. You now have 2 choices, you can go straight to checkout and your shipping cost will be added once you've chosen your preferred shipping address or if you want to know how much your shipping will cost before checking out then you can use our auto calculator.

Input your state and postcode and click the 'show  cost' button ... you can now see your shipping cost, to carry on, select the Australia Post eparcel option and click the 'add to cart' button and your done. If you want to carry on shopping that's fine, you can either get another quote when your ready or just go straight to checkout, our flexible system also lets you amend your shipping choice or add a new address at any stage during checkout if you want.

We operate automated purchasing and stock control at Scrooz so when you buy items from our range our system automatically re-orders from our suppliers to maintain our required stock levels. When products are returned to us it creates considerable logistical issues for us and leads to overstocking and wasteful purchasing etc. Therefore to keep our operation as slick as possible we operate fairly strict returns policy, please be sure the items you order from us are correct for the purpose you intend to use them for (if in any doubt contact an industry professional or email us for clarification). Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for products incorrectly ordered in either size, type or quantity and as there little else that can go wrong with fasteners hopefully this issue shouldn't arise. Of course if there are any problems with any of our products relating to defects, lost or incorrectly despatched orders then contact us straight away and we'll be happy to refund or replace immediately.
